Looks like it will be cold when we get to Disney. Hi of 66 means no T-shirts even in the daytime I guess. Sigh I was hoping for some swimming.

I am starting to pack for my 2 DDs 3 and 1yo. I was originally planning to take t-shirts and knit cotton leggings but it will probably be too cold for the leggings. Will probably need jeans everyday.

Thanks

I think it depends where you are from and what you are used to. My dh and boys will gladly wear shorts in 66, to others that is chilly. We leave Saturday and planning on bring all sorts of clothes from shorts, jeans, leggings, short sleeves, sweatshirts, light coats, ect.. You never know this time of year what the weather will be like, the hardest part I am finding about going this time of year, lol:)

I agree that it depends on what you're used to. Some people might consider this shorts and t-shirts weather. :teeth: I'd wear jeans with a long-sleeve shirt and a fleece jacket - when it warms up, take off the jacket and tie it around your waist or stash it somewhere. We'll be there next week and my DD will wear cotton leggings every day, simply because she refuses to wear jeans. I'll bring a pair of sweats in case it gets really cold.

That sounds like fall weather around here. It was 17 degrees when I got up to go to work this morning so 60's would be downright balmy. You probably be starting the day with a jacket but in the afternoon you could probably take the jacket off especially if you are wearing long sleeved shirts. Mostly it is going to depend on what you are used to and what the weather is like where you live.

Well the real temperature was an amazing 5* here today, and wind chill was well below zero. If I had been outside longer I would have been wearing a jacket, but for going between the dorm building, my car and the airport, I only wore jeans a sweashirt, and a long sleeve shirt. So for temperatures like you're desribing you'd probably find me in a t-shirt, jeans and sweatshirt. 66 during the day is warm enough for a t-shirt where I'm from. Heck when it finally hits 60 here in June we tend to break out the shorts.

Right now at 3:16 p.m. in Minnesota there is a winter storm outside. Just nasty....... with the snow blowing sideways (not coming down like it should). Windy, cold, freezing, windchill factor cold.

I would were shorts and a t-shirt in low of 47 high of 66 degree weather.

That's summer to us who live in Minnecolder!

I'd wear jeans and t-shirts with light jackets. As the day warms up, you could take the jackets off if you get warm. If the sun is shining and you're walking around the parks, 66 should be fine for just a t-shirt. That sounds like ideal park weather for me - not too cold and not too hot.

You sound like me! We're also leaving Sat, also from No IL! Usually by now I'm completely packed - haven't even started as I've been anxiously watching the weather. I figure after all the cold and snow here, my dds will all be in shorts, and I'll probably be in capri's or pants. Of course my dds and dh will wear shorts when it's 50 out, so they'll be just fine. Me, I'm waiting for hot flashes so maybe someday I'll be warm. :rotfl:

My dh didn't even want to bring jeans, but I am making him! I feel like I am packing for 4 seasons wioth the kids :rotfl2: I think I am also going to stick with capris, jeans and maybe 1 pair of shorts.

We're a weird family of 3 from southern Illinois...

DS is so hot natured that last week when it was 13 degrees outside he went to school wearing jeans, tshirt and a hoodie sweatshirt...no coat, no gloves and no hat.

I wore a long sleeved shirt (tshirt weight) and twill pants for work and a medium weight jacket (polar fleece with a windbreaker shell) with lightweight polar fleece gloves.

DH wore a tshirt, jeans and his heavy winter jacket...no hat or gloves.

Now, for next week at WDW...I'm taking a bit of everything.

DS wants to wear shorts, so I'm letting him take a couple pairs since the rule at home is day time temp is at least 60 degrees and is 45 when he leaves the house in the morning for school.

For me, I'm packing mostly jeans, tshirts, a few long sleeved tshirts, and a sweatshirt or 2 for layering, and a windbreaker.

For DH, well, he's the hard one since he doesn't own many long sleeved shirts of any kind, but I've convinced him to take a couple long sleeve tshirts and a sweatshirt for layering and a jacket.

I'm keeping an eye on the forecast at weather.com, accuweather.com, and the weather channel for any differences than their online foreast.

Usually the lows are an hour or two prior to sunrise. Usually layering with a nice sweatshirt is all you need for 50's-60's days. Last year during a MVMCP, it was in the lower 40's by 10:00 PM. We had to buy hats and gloves in the park for DS and DW.

WOW - 13 is way cold for So Il!

Well, I'm packed. All wearing jeans and sweatshirts on the plane, pair of casual pants for dinner at Yachtsman, a couple of pairs of shorts, long and short sleeved shirts. Picked up stretch knit gloves at Target 2 pair for $1.50. For hats, all three girls have their Mickey/Pooh Santa hats, and DH has his WS White Sox Santa hat. I never wear one, so I figure we're set.

Now, if we could just take the rain out of the forcast...

Have a great time everyone!

Thank you everyone for sharing your dressing plans. I think jeans, long sleeved tshirts with sweatshirts or fleece jackets sounds good for me and DH and our toddler.

My 11mo has a jacket which is fleece lined and has fleece gloves attached. I think that will do for her. I bought her, her first pair of shoes today so she is all set to go.

We are leaving in less than a week and I am dreading packing....diapers, wipes, formula Yikes!! Its going to be a lot.

Hey! Yeah, 13 is pretty low! But just talk to your mom and grandma...it used to get like that a lot more often when I was a kid.

Me, too! Wish we could take the rain out of the forecast!! We should be arriving to 70% chance tomorrow according to weather.com...at least we're planning too much for Sunday other than a dinner at Cape May.

Pixie Dust for all of us traveling.... :wizard:

We just got back from weather like that. We wore short sleeves one day and never took off our sweatshirts another. We had polar fleece sweatshirts which are extra warm. The only time we broke out the mittens and scarf was the night we were actually out until mid-night. DOnt let that low temp scare you, especially if the parks close early every night.

I spoke to my DDIL yesterday, and she was freezing in southern FL. My DD said that we would be fine, as we were about 5 degrees this morning, and raising the temp 65 or 70 degrees will be nice. I am NOT swimming though.
