How Would This Work(DC Discount)

Just wondering if this may not be possible to do.
If I book a room now for August 2003, using the DC discount, what happens if my membership expires in February and I cant renew because of DC closing. Obviously I will have my member number and info when booking so they know Im an active member, but if I have no valid card at check in, I cant see them giving me the discount. hmmmm?
Im hoping to get APs and eventually book with the AP rate, but I wanted to at least secure a room with the DC discount in case no AP rates were offered. Now Im thinking that wont be possible.

Anyone have any insight? Thanks!

You need to go ahead and renew your membership now, before the cutoff date (which I think was 12/17). Your membership will then be extended until 12/31/03.

I'm having the same dilemna!! I have booked for Aug, using my DC card. Rates weren't great since it is still regular season when I'm going. Hoping for a much better rate to come out this spring. But, my membership expires in Feb. I'll most likely just renew and do all my gift buying in DD at the Disney Store. That way I can recoup some of the cost.

They are prorating the membership fee! For instance, my original expiration date was 5/03, my new one is 12/03 and I only pd. 17.00 for the extension.

Since we more than got our money back on our DC membership this year, I guess renewing would be worth it...just in case we do need it.

Make sure you guys renew soon though. They are only taking renewals for another couple of weeks !!!!
