I just managed to bank my 90 points from last years UY and within the next few days Ill be booking for jan trip

I just want to make sure Im doing this right--

at the 7th month window wed like to see if we can change--

chances are the new resort will be less points then for poly

so since by June well be long past our banking date what happens to the extra points

as of now our stay at the poly our home resort is 105 which will use the 90 that I banked plus use 15 from 22-23 UY
actually this could be as low as 88 points if we only plan on 5 nights since were planning a resort stay

for example wed like to try OKW which for our dates would only be 64 points--what Im thinking not sure if Im right though
those extra 41 points would they go back into the 22.23 UYand then next march Id be able to bank those

Im so confused--and I think Im over thinking this
thanks for any advice

You don't really say what your UY is but the 90 banked points must be used next year (UY), they can't be re-banked. The other 15 points could be banked.

OK...I'm assuming your use year is August, given the info you've provided.

So, you just banked 90 2021 Aug UY points into 2022 (there is no such thing as 22.23 UY).

If you book the OKW for 64 points, you'll still have 26 banked 2021 points that would have to be used by July 31, 2023 or you will lose them. You cannot bank the same points twice.

The 15 points from your 2022 UY can still be banked into 2023.

Those 90 banked points have to be used no matter where you stay as they are now part of your 2022 UY and will expire July 31st 2023.

So, once you change your trip at 7 months, if it’s less than 90 points, then you will have points left over to book something else or need to rent out.

if you don’t want to be stuck with trying to rent a small amount of points, I’d just try keep the trip as close to that 90, if not a little over as you can abs enjoy! Stay an extra night or two.
