It's just a hobby.
He took some lessons earlier this year, the idea was that he would learn how to mend things or do things like making trousers shorter. I actually wanted to do this, but due to allergies, not a good idea.
After 1 lesson he kind of figured all those things out already, but as it was a course, he decided to make the most out of it. In total he had 8 lessons. So far he's made me 3 gorgeous dresses!!! And there's a bunch of patterns we bought that he's still gonna make.
He really enjoys doing it, makes a welcome difference to staring at a computer screen most of the day.
