How will you spend your last day on VMK??

Qruthie and I just booked us a trip to the Hard Rock Hotel, at Universal Studios in Orlando. We will be there from the 21st to the 26th.

We plan to spend the last day of VMK at Universal Studios - Not Disney! We are not even going to look at WDW or make any trips to any Disney park while we are there. (Unless of course somebody at Disney has a change of heart!)

We hope to be able to hook up 2 computers in the room, and be on for the last closing dance.

We will then spend the rest of the time drowning in our tears, or drowning in grog.

We will copy all of our receipts and send them to Disney, letting them know how much they missed out on from just this one trip.

Sadly to say Aimbier, its not just vmk closing. They gave me an unfair ban about two weeks ago and they are not responding to my emails or letters. If I do get a response, it is a canned, computer-generated response. So yes, I am a little upset all the way around.

But lets stick to Fly's orignal idea for this thread, and talk about what you will all be doing the last day of vmk.

I will not be logging on. But I am going to login the day before and tell our friends how they can find us outside of VMK. Yep, I am breaking all the rules I have followed for 2 years. Just call me a rebel.

I'll probably check out all my favorite places and my own rooms one last time, take any last minute screenshots and video I feel I need, then find a group of Disers to hang out with and dance the final dance at closing, which I will also be videoing and taking bunches of screenshots of. (I'm saving some of my 1x use Infernos just for the last night.) Fortunately for me, I don't work Thursdays, so being there all the way til closing won't be a problem, though I'd probably do it anyway!!

You are so a part of me on this post! Universal while it has some great points, it seems less than Disney at this point. If or when VMK closes i will never allow myself to even look at anything Disney. While my daughter may forgive them for this event, I dont think I ever will. They have taken from me something that I cant even quantify.

Its funny that I am at a loss for words on this, but the magic just sort of disappeared, it vanished into the ether that is cyper space. There is only one regret on my part, I have lost so many friendships that have kept me over the rough time to the times I happen to have now.

Disney PLEASE do not take this from me and my child. I have posted that at times this is our only form of communication. We can chat, hug and be together although we thousands of miles from each other.

My heart breaks as I type this, I (glove) you all so much. So for all that read this and have met me, know this; you mean a lot more to me than this MMOG would let you realize. Please dont lose contact with me! Most of the heartache I am experienceing right now is not for me because I am skilled enough to figure out how to get around the blocks that wont allow contacting other players. Its the KIDS. My daugher will loose all 150 of her friends, well maybe not all but most because of this.

My daughter and I spent Thanksgiving at the Hard Rock last year and you girls will love it!! @_@ Make sure to take pictures of the pool area because I sure got a few, uh, could you send me yours because I seem to have missed a few of the sights @_@

It's all about the kids and the friends they will be losing on an everyday basis.

I know that we all know how to keep in touch on the Dis; but it is not the same for the kids.

We keep trying to communicate this to the "umpty umps" at Disney. We are a community - not a promotion!

Out and I got married Feb 9th. We met in VMK and this is just one other reason that we are so sad to see the possibility of it going away!

GIRL I KNOW THIS!! And you and out are only one of the couples I know of. There are others out there. VMK is really not about all the junk you have sitting is a storeroom its about the the people, Period! We are a tight knit community that understands each other. We are in two words...Disney Fanatics. Now I ask this, Why in the world would you want to alienate your most rabid fans?

I myself have been on hiatus for quite some time. VMK is a game I can only play for 1-2 months at a time, then I get bored again.
I want to be on VMK the 21st, but I am also going to Universal that day (day trip w/ Dad's friends that are visiting) and it's a school night so I can't be staying on the computer so I won't be there for the last closing. :x

Almost time for me to get on and say goodbye to everyone. :K
