You'll likely see more traffic/foot traffic than usual, but there shouldn't be any significant road closures or detours for guests on Saturday.

Watch out for bikes, though...there will be more bike traffic than usual for sure. And nice bikes, too!

Looking at your distances, is this considered a medium distance triathlon

NTSammy...it's a 1/2 Ironman (or 70.3 as a new name, for the total distance covered in miles). Half of the distance they do for a full Ironman (like in Hawaii that you see on TV, though there are many Ironman races around the world), which is 2.4 mile swim/112 mile bike/26.2 mile run.

I sort of consider it long distance, compared to a sprint triathlon, where the swim is usually 1/2 mile, bike 12-15 miles, and run 3.1 miles. Olympic or international distance is 1 mile swim/24.8 mile bike/6.2 mile run.

Wish I could answer that very well for you. But I am thinking that by 1 pm, most (if not all) of the athletes will be off the bike, which will have some effect of the in/out traffic at FW. By 1, we should be all running (or finished--wish I was that fast), and out of the way for cars going to the cabins.

(now I have to get my head wrapped around how hot the run will be!)

We have 8:30am reservations at Cinderella's Castle on Sunday morning. WIll this affect the amount of time we need to get there. We planned to be at the Ticket and Transportation place by 7:30 and are driving out own car, do we need ot change our plans?
