How will EMM affect the benefit of a PPO ADR at MK?

I have a solo trip coming up. I plan to do MK Sun. 3/4. Park hours are 9-8 with EMM starting at 7:45 am. I currently have a PPO ADR for BOG at 8:05 am. Will the benefit of the PPO ADR be wiped out by the ticketed EMM? I have a 9:10 FP+ for 7DMT and a 10:50 FP+ for PPF. I was hoping to be able to ride Space and Tomorrowland Speedway with minimal wait after my ADR. Does the PPO ADR offer any benefit to this? Would I be better off just RD and going to Tomorrowland? I've never done a PPO ADR or RD.

EMM or not, being at BoG will not help you with the two attractions you want to do. Agree with PP, ditch the ADR and just be at MK at 8:15-30 to line up at the Tomorrowland rope.

If your first destination is Space and Speedway, I don’t necessarily see any major pro or con with doing that after a PPO BOG vs just regular rope drop. I like BOG and think a PPO breakfast there is a fun way to start the day.

In some ways doing Space/Speedway after a PPO BOG may be a slightly more pleasant experience. After breakfast, you can’t get much further than roughly WtP / Tea Cups, but once they open the park it’s just a quick walk to Space. You won’t have much company doing this, vs, say, regular rope drop, which will have many folks in the hub lining up at the various spokes.

EMM won’t impact your plan to any material degree.

One benefit of doing a PPO BOG ADR on an EMM morning is that park hours are guranteed NOT to change later, so there’s no chance your PPO reservation ever becomes non-PPO. :-)

Happy planning!

Thanks everyone! Would I be better served to do the PPO BOG, then get in standby for 7DMT and PPF? Then I could change those FP+ to other rides? I'm only spending part of the day at MK before heading to EP. Wanting to ride/do the following:

7DMT
PPF
Space
Speedway
Splash
Haunted
Banstormer
BTMRR
Muppets history

I've been to Disney many, many times and have other trips planned already so I'm not sure why RD/PPO is throwing me for a loop! For my last several trips we have scheduled around me being pregnant, DH wanting to sleep in and DS4 who is NOT a morning child at all! I think I have too much flexibility being solo so my mind can't process!

Under the zig when other people zag theory, I’d FP 7DMT and PP, which it looks you already have booked. Everyone and their brother (including both PPO BOG folks and regulars rope droppers) will be trying to do 7DMT at rope drop, PP is somewhat similar.

To me, that’s a good time to scurry off to a part of the park not so heavily populated - like Space, or BTMR.

FYI, on an EMM morning, they hold the BOG PPO folks from riding 7DMT and PP until right at 9AM when the event ends. If you do either ride you’ll at least be among the first in line and beat the RD crowd, but it’s not going to be a big time advantage on an EMM morning.

Hope that makes sense. Obviously all just personal opinion on strategy.

If you keep your PPO, I think you could do all of those without FP+ and use your FP+ at EP, but that depends on what time you want to get to EP.

Some alternatives if you want to keep the FP+ at MK:
I might hit 7DMT right after breakfast and then do Barnstormer. Get a FP+ for Space at 9:50. Head to Speedway after Barnstormer then use Space FP+. Keep the PP FP where it is and you should be ready to ride after Space. Get another FP+ for Haunted Mansion at 11:50. Being solo on Splash and Big Thunder may help you as you near the ride loading if they're looking to fill boats and trains. BUT you could probably do Space without the FP+ and choose Splash or BTMRR for that third one, but I'm not sure what time you would want it.

Purely from a logistical standpoint, I can’t imagine that riding Space Mountain after eating any meal is a pleasant experience...
