how wet will we get on Splash Mountain and Kali River?

I wonder if they fill up the water on plash once a day, because I always seem to get more water on me in the early hours than in the late afternoon after a lot of water has been spilled. But either way, Splash does not get you all that wet. The two times to be careful of are when you go out front and around the big drop. As a log goes down, some tubes shoot water out. If those get you, you can get soaked. Only happened to me twice though. In colder times, the tubes don't even shoot off. The other time is after the big drop and you have to wait by the waterfall, it will keep splashing on you until you move. If you can get in the log first, you let the other person take the brunt of the waterfall though. The big drop is more of a spray and will dry off after a few minutes. Though it can mess up your hair and give you that "splash scent" for a while.

Kali is a standard big tube ride like in many other parks. I don't think you get as wet as most other ones I have been on like at six flags or universal. You can get soaked if you are in the bad seat, a poncho does nothing in those cases. But just as easily, you can go with nothing more than a few sprays on you. Your shoes will get wet no matter what so flip flops or something is always nice to wear during the ride.

All the times we have been on these attractions, slash mountain always a splash........Kali you do get wet, it part of the fun.

Honestly if your adverse to getting wet you really should not ride these types of attractions, especially Kali!.

Splash Mountain it really depends on where you sit. You will get a bit wet but not soaked . Kali River Rapids, you will get soaked.

I've never done Splash myself but DH and DS and other family members go and mostly it seems the front row gets pretty wet. Kali I would expect to get pretty soaked. I've been on it and not been too wet but more often than not we are soaked to the bone on this ride. But I love that. It keeps me cool for the next couple of hours until I'm dry. DH tried to wear a poncho on this ride one time and he got off more soaked than I was. He was positioned just right that the water poured in and went right through the openings at the side and hood of the poncho.

I sat on the right side on Splash Mountain and got soaked. My husband rode before me and said he sat on the left and he wasn't wet at all. On Kali, my husband was the lucky one on the raft that got soaked. Everyone else just got a splash. The days we will be riding those rides, we wear fast drying athletic clothing, and take flip flops to change into so we aren't walking around in wet socks and tennis shoes all day.

I'm at WDW now and we were on a full log, with my boyfriend and me on the last row just last Tuesday. We did not get too wet at all. I did save the hat of the girl in front of me from flying off though. Right after the picture, I put my hand down and kept yelling, "I got your hat! I got your hat!". She also didn't look too wet from the ride. Our shoes were fine and our hair was a bit splashed.

Certainly not as wet as the water rides in Universal... *continues drying shoes in dryer*
