How Wet do you get on Kali Rapids?

The first time we went to AK and rode Kali Rapids, my youngest got soaked. The insides of her shoes were so wet that she got blisters.

We got smart the second time and brought a set of dry clothes and shoes. We stowed them in the lockers near the front of the park. We wore water shoes on the ride.

Being there for the Early Hour, we rode 5 times in a row and had the best time. We all got soaked. When we were done, we changed into our dry clothes and shoes and enjoyed the rest of the day at the park!

I agree with DavidR, I buy the thin plastic ponchos from the dollar store, sometimes they come two to a package. Who cares if you look nerdy, put the hood up! Tuck it in tightly under your legs and enjoy! After you ride, you can always toss it out or you can shake it out and tightly roll it and stash it in a sandwich size ziplock bag. When you get back to your hotel, hang it up to dry and put it back in the ziplock to use again the next day for Splash! I also keep one in my bag for the days that look like rain is possible.

Or you can shake it out and hand it to some nervous-looking person still waiting to board

Wet enough where DBF and I now wear ponchos while riding!

We were there during Christmas. Out of 5 in our group, two of us were absolutely drenched, like being thrown in a pool drenched, 2 of us were fairly wet in some places, and the last one was only damp in a couple of places.

We were meeting up for dinner and had planned to return to our room anyway after that ride, but it was not fun sitting on a Disney bus where they have the air conditioner cranked no matter how chilly it is outside, soaking wet the whole way back to the hotel.

I don't think I'll ride that again. I'd much rather be the one pointing and laughing at everyone else who walks out soaked!
