How were crowds this week?

Any updates on how the crowds were this Mon-Thurs, especially Cars Land? What about crowdedness for WOC? Did it seem like things were be slowing down a bit for Fall?

I'm still looking for the crystal ball filled with pixie dust that will predict next week's crowd levels. :tink:

We did Sunday through Wednesday in the parks. Sunday we just walked around Cars Land and soaked in the atmosphere. We spent Monday at DCA as well as Wednesday. Wednesday was noticeably slower than Sunday until the evening, then I think it doubled in crowds! But at 3pm, RSR had a wait of 65 minutes and we only waited 15 in the single rider line. And Mater was all of 5 minutes...

Hope that helps.

Thanks vey helpful. Sounds like at least Maters was slowing down. Was Luigi'sashort line too?

We were there Sat - Tues and found it very busy, but we stupidly did our EMH on the same days as APEE, so I am sure that affected things. Wait times outside of CL were actually fine, it just FELT packed, kwim? We waited 40 min for TSMM (it was down during EE) and 30 for Mater and those were our longest lines, since we used FP for everything we could.

We did Tue and Wed. We did EMH Tue morn. RSR was running so 30 min wait and we were on. I went for RSR FPs while they jumped back in line for RSR barely beating the 9am procession into CL. They were able to do LFT by the time I got the FPs (1:30p return). It was around 9:45-10 when we went for WoC FPs and got blue section. All other rides on Tue were less than 20 min wait, except the water rides since it was so hot. And we showed up for WoC at 8:50 for the 9 show and got a good view on the bridge.

Wed felt a lil more crowded to me. We didn't do EMH, but I lined up with the general public at 9am for RSR FPs and got 4:30p return time. Lines in the 20 min range again (Space Mtn, Star Tours, Indy, Matterhorn). Other walk right on (POTC, CA Screamin, Ariel's). Others in 30 range (TSMM, water rides). We were even able to call in a reservation for Blue Bayou at 11am and get a 2pm slot. We were told they would need to split our party of 8 to separate tables. We showed up early because the earthquake shut down rides. They were able to seat us together. So yeah, I'd say crowds were low. :cool1:

Was there Sunday evening through Friday afternoon. CarsLand seemed very crowded the whole time we were there. We were able to ride RSR during EMH as DLH guests. We went on opposite days of APEE. Waited about 20 minutes by arriving at the gate about 30 minutes before opening. The rest of the time I never saw less than an hour wait, usually more like 70+ minutes. Never rode Luigi's because the wait was never shorter than 30 minutes by the time we were able to ride. Mater's was easier.

The rest of the park was very nice Monday through Thursday. We never had to wait more than about 20 minutes for anything. Which is not to say wait times were never longer than that -- we always do the popular rides such as TSMM, etc., early in the day and get FPs that we save for later in the day as we go -- that strategy worked very well. DL in particular did not seem very busy. Most of the FP return times were about 30 minutes when we got them before noon, so we had a lot saved up by the afternoon.

On Friday it was noticeably busier. We had a hard time finding anything at DL we wanted to ride in the afternoon that did not have a 20-45 minute wait.

I was really surprised at the short wait times for CS most of our visit. It was rarely over 15 minutes.

Today was really pretty crowded. There was no early entry to either park for anyone, and a whole lot of people up early for the 5K. We managed to get on Mater's with a 10 minute wait around 9:20 and LFT right as it opened (around 9:30). Not too long after we got off, LFT was up to 55 minutes and Mater's was in the 30 minute range. Most of the rest of the lines weren't bad - aside from TSMM's usual 40 minute wait (and of course CL), nothing was over 30 minutes - until it got hot and GRR was in the 45 minute range. But it felt super crowded. DL was the same. We went over around 7 p.m. and the wait times weren't bad (walked onto Jungle Cruise, IASW and Pirates; Matterhorn was maybe 20 minutes, Peter Pan 30) but it felt extremely crowded. Even DTD felt really crowded all day long.

I would think that next week should quiet down quite a bit with kids back in school and the holiday weekend over.

We were there Sat through THurs

The weekend was busy. Monday and Tuesday ok. Cars Land was still crazy at all times we checked in.

Wednesday was the best low crowd day. We had our best day on Wednesday.

It was SUPER hot.

If you have to go in August this is for sure a good week to be there!

who was it that said it wouldnt be that busy this weekend???:rolleyes1...i totally knew that it was going to be bad when it took 45 min on friday to get off the fwy and 30 min just to park:headache:

We were there from 8/28-8/30 and it was pretty good. Cars Land was pretty nuts, but Disneyland was awesome, we never waited more than 20 minutes for anything and only did FPs for RSR. The rest of CA Adventure was good too.
