Well we didn't really get 2 for 1, but the kids thought we did! I *tricked* my kids into getting more Disney for my buck this way. On Magic Kindgom day we got up to do the morning (up at 5am ugh) and went, rode 3 rides, had a snack, did the parade, rode 1 more ride got a fast pass (for 7pm that night! at 10am!) took the kids back to the room. Ran out to the pool, took a quick dip. It's now about 1pm. Ate a BIG lunch and called it dinner. (hee hee... do you see where this is going?) Closed the drapes and blinds tight, told the kids it was almost bedtime... gave them each a bath and put them to bed. Set the alarm for 5:30pm. Hubby and I sat outside on our chairs and had a lovely afternoon chatting with each other, went in after they were asleep and took a quick nap ourselves. Woke up with the alarm, hubby and I both took speed showers and we all got dressed and left. Fed kids BREAKFAST foods for a snack, and left for the park. Ate dinner at around 10pm and then stayed and played until the park closed at 3am! It was wonderful. The kids weren't crabby at all. We did sleep in the next day and had a resort day, but they really thought that they spent 2 whole days in MK. This was during peak season and we got to do everything we wanted to do. Just wanted to share

They are 8 & 5. :) I knew that there was no way they would be able to stay up til 3 am unless they took naps. Nap is a BAD word at my house...lol.. so I just manuevered my way around it. They were so tired from being so busy that they never even questioned it!

I LOVE IT! How creative! What a neat thing to do and what a neat story it will make in a few years!

YOU ARE A CREATIVE GENIUS!!! What a wonderful way to get an "extra" day at WDW!

If not for the fastpass we would never know what time it is. In Disney we are always on Disney Time and we always take a day break on our Summer trips.

But this one takes the cake for creativity Way to GO.

The kids did comment that it got dark early on the "2nd" day, I kind of blew it off and changed the subject, they didn't really care all that much!
As for a morning parade, the one we saw was around noon. I don' think there was an earlier one.

We only did it at Magic Kingdom. The parks opened that day at 7am and closed at midnight. They had extra magic hours at night that night, which meant that they were open until 3am.

That's pretty creative, but if I were you, I'd be a little concerned they couldn't figure out what was happening.

I'm no more concerned by it than by the fact that they were equally happy to believe in all the rest of the "Disney Magic"

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but your post seemed a little snarky. My kids are bright, happy and well adjusted. The fact that they were happy to believe that somehow they got an extra day doesn't diminish any of that, there's no reason to be "concerned"
I hope you have a very magical day and a wonderful trip. :thumbsup2

What were those fast passes for? I'm just curious, with such a big time difference...the parks must have been packed. True?

If I remember correctly they were for splash mountain. :) The parks were really packed, it was Easter Week. Remind me not to go Easter week again. LOL

That was a bit harsh.

Although you're not the first person to belittle the OP on this thread... all they wanted to do was share a fun story!
