I thought this might be helpful for people looking to buy resales. Less than thirty minutes ago i heard that I passed ROFR on my first DVC property. I am very excited and wanted to express my gratitude towards the resale agent that helped me through the process. Additionally, while reading the many posts on these Boards, I have heard some pretty bad stories about dealings with agents. As such, I figured that if we discussed our dealings with the various agents, maybe there will be some accountability and perhaps the agents who are doing their job well will be recognized and actually requested by new potential buyers. I can honestly say that when I look to add onto my contract, I will specifically request Jason from the Timeshare store to assist me.
I actually contacted Jason with the type of property I was looking for and once it became available, he called me immediatley. I submitted my paperwork on 1/27 and heard today (13 days later) that I passed ROFR on a BWV property. I have to say that Jason never promised anything, and made me fully aware that Disney can basically do what they wanted to, and that there was no set formula for the process. He also advised me that in the event that the contract was refused, he would continue to assist me in searching for a comparable property.
Furthermore, Jason was consistently available by phone and always seemed to have time for the stupid questions that this first-timer had to have answered. I never felt like I was being rushed off the phone without the information I had called for.
In sum, if anyone is currently looking for a resale, and wants someone who will be courteous, honest and helpful, don't hesitate to call Jason at TTS.
I was wondering if anyone had experiences with a resale agent that were good/bad?? Thanks
