How Was Your Experience With Allegiant Air?

We have just discovered that Allegiant Air flies non-stop into Sanford Airport from Stewart in Newburgh, NY, which is only about a 30-40 min ride away. We can get a flight down and back for 59.00 one-way. It almost seems to be too good to be true! Has anyone used them and have any reports (good or bad!). Also, we've never flown into Sanford before, only MCO. Are there rental car companies on site?

We flew Allegiant in October from Sanford to Portsmouth, NH ($39!!). I thought they were very good and I would definitely fly them again for a $59 fare. We were checked in and through security in less than half an hour - never the case when we've flown home out of MCO!!

Yes, there are car rentals at Sanford. They have Alamo and one or two others although I don't recall which ones.

allegiant just began nonstop to las vegas from green bay...and they were great...just got back...no complaints...jump on that price...

It is my understanding that Newburg is currently being reviewed for major expansion...since the other 3 large NYC air ports are locked in (JFK<LAG<EWR) I have heard from a very high up source that a new master plan is in the works. I hope you have a great trip.
