Who went? Did you enjoy it? I had hoped to go, but that was the day we were heading to Seaworld...Would love to hear how it went! :)

This was a very good tour and when it's opened up to more folks will be well worth it. I've worked in many theme parks and in some ways Disneyland is just another park with a backstage area, only a lot bigger! The special thing about this tour is that they normally don't let folks like us backstage and that this is where the magic happens. The whole time you got glimpses of other areas and you always thought 'I wonder what's down that street' or 'what is inside that building'. And the tour itself didn't take away from the magic at all. We saw the fireworks launch site and rather than feeling that the "secret" was given away, I felt like we were in the middle of all the things that we see every time we visit. In some ways it's hard to describe. But it was great and I'm so glad to have been a part of it.

One of the best parts of the tour was being able to share it with other DISers. That really made it special and is definitely a big part of why the tour was so much fun. I would definitely go again.

Here is a link to my trip report, along with more great info and pictures from Mary Jo! :)

Thanks for posting the review. The tour sounds like an abreviated version of the Behind the Scenes Tours they offered the year Indy opened. Too bad they didn't include some of the other things they did in the eralier version, like going up into the SM control booth.

The DIS Podcast from last week had a review at the end of the podcast - sounds like it was a good tour.

It was nice to meet you (even though it was in the last 5 minutes before we left!). Wish we could've talked more! :goodvibes

What kind of tour was this? Is it a public tour? Do they do it often?

This was a backstage tour offered only to us DISers. It is not available to the public (at least at this point.)
