How tough is it to get loop 1500?

Going at the end of August. (Arriving on a Saturday) Hoping to get a no-frills site near the Meadow Trading post due to using a wheelchair. I realize 1500 is pretty small...how much luck is there in requesting that loop specifically? I hope to avoid paying for a preferred site but will have to if 2000 is all thats left.

What are you travelling in? The sites in the 1500 loop are kind of small, suitable mainly for pop ups and tents. If you have a larger TT or a motor home, this may not be the loop for you.

A 3-4 man dome tent (Something like 10' diameter. :duck: ) and a mid-size rental car.

You can call Disney and ask for Special Requests. Tell them you are in a wheelchair and require a site close to the Meadows area, and let them know you want loop 1500. They should hold one for you.

Good luck! :)

The 1500 loop is very small, as you mentioned, and it is also very popular due to the close proximity to the Meadows area, so if I were you, I would call and request that loop and also let them know that you have a wheelchair user in the party to up the chances that you will get it.

I don't know if they still have it but there used to be a special line for people who have special needs. When my father wanted to take my family to CBR to say his goodbyes (terminal cancer) he just gave me his credit card and when I made the reservations and explained his situation (can't walk far, shortness of breath, etc) I was transferred to this special needs line and they made all the arrangements for us and we got connecting non-smoking rooms close to the food court and bus stops.

I requested the 1500 loop one week prior to arrival and had no problem. It was during the first week of may 05. We only stayed a few evenings and went during the week. I don't know how much difference that makes.

Both our trips to FW we requested the 1500 loop, and got it both times. First trip we had the site right next to the comfort station and it was perfect. The second trip we requested a site in the same area because of special needs but were on the other side of the loop. Wish we knew about this line. SIL has type 1 diabetes, and makes several trips a night to the restroom. We were as far away as you could be. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Without any special needs, requested 1500 loop 3x, granted site only once. We didn't find the 2000 loop awful, but do prefer the 1500 loop.
