We are planning a trip, well kinda.

Mom works at a hotel chain so cheaper rooms.
But, no more discount on sundry and food items.

With all the changes, still going on?,neither is thrilled with going. We want to...then again neither of us is has good health right now.

We want our last memories as the are and not being able to get around the house makes me concerned that the fun going yearly might be over.

Any suggestions for wanting to go on a part of the day and slowly through a through of people?

Not sure of the '?' reply.

How do you want to go if there is a big possibility of getting us to go from being at rope drop to waking up well past it. My last memory actually happened when we got to screen a movie and had to walk out of HS and back to the Dolphin. We would hate to remember some bad times.

Just asking about how to pump yourself up to go when it is like two seniors in bad health.
We would feel bad not being in a park all or every day and feel like we're waisting tickets.
I know this from the past.
Just yesterday was Neurologist day actually fun...cut to today and I am sick as a dog.

So you are worried about not maximizing your trip because you have physical limitations?

I think what you need to do is adjust your expectations and realize that if you have physical limitations, you are going to have to take it easy and slow and possibly only spend a few hours in the park at a time rather than spending all day. It might also help you to rent an ECV so that you don't have to walk so far.

As far as being worried about missing rope drop, I've almost never been at the park before rope drop, that doesn't mean you are going to miss out on everything...maybe waiting until later in the day will allow you to experience the park in a different way because the evening activities are different.

Planning out your Fast Passes can help you minimize your wait times and your travel back and forth across the park.

Since it sounds to me like you have other physical limitations, it's possible that the Disability access pass might be something that you should investigate, and the best place to get information about that is over on the DISabilities forum of this board.

I think that with a bit of planning, adjusted expectations and an ECV, you can have a great trip that won't leave you with frustrating and sad memories.

You say you are "not thrilled with going" and are in bad health. I would rethink the whole idea and pick another vacation spot, perhaps a Disney cruise would give you your Disney fix and be much easier on you physically.

First I think that you shoudl be realistic about any limitation that your health contribute to, and then go from there.

I see RD and would kick that expectation right out of the window if Mom is not at her best in the early hours. You know her patterns as well as your own, so work with them.

You have mobility issues? Think about an ECV. You both are in control of how you manage your comfort.

I would send you to the DISabilities forum. Spend a little time there and ask questions, Those folks are very well versed in navigating Disney with health challenges, and are happy to help.

The best suggestion I can share is to adjust your expectations. DO not set goals that are unrealistic given your health concerns, and end up setting yourselves up to feel failure. A vacation in DIsney is the same as a vacation anywhere else. You are supposed to enjoy the time, relax and take in the sights. If you are working so hard that you are exhausted, hurting and cannto wait to get home, you made a mistake in the planning.
