how to use FP with child swap

I understand how to use the child swap without fast passes, but how does it work if you want the first riders to use fastpasses. Do we all need to get fastpasses or only those riding first, as I would then use the child swap?

Only those riding first.
So, for example, if you, DH, an older child and a too-short child all wanted to ride...DH and older child could get FPs and then the 4 of you go to the CM at the FP entrance and ask for a child swap ticket. DH and older child would ride first and then you could take older child on a 2nd time with the swap ticket. (If older child only wanted to ride once, they could either get a FP and ride in the first round with DH or not get a FP and just ride on the swap ticket with you.)
