How to they price rooms for 2006?

I was just looking over reservations for next January 1-8 for AKL Savannah View. It seems that I was charged "regular season" rates. I know rates are not release for 2006 yet, so does everyone who books for 2006 get booked at regular season rates until the new seasons and rates are available? If they are changing that week to regular season, I may have to rework my trip. We have always gone during value season to save the money.

Yep. For my Jan 1-10 stay, I was quoted regular season rate instead of value season because the rates aren't released yet for 2006. I was told they would be released this summer.

I was told by WDW CRO that Value Season typically runs until the Thursday before President's Day each year, i.e., on Friday you are in Peak.

She also indicated that you can always book your room and apply for the discount once they're announced later in the year. Good Luck.

Yep that is correct, we are planning Late Jan of 2006 and the cost of the rooms is astronomical but I figure it will all work out.

Yes, same story here. Booked for Jan 1-8 at POFQ at regular rate. Figure when 2006 rates come out our rate will be adjusted down, at least I hope so.
