How to thank a cast member?

My kids got the most awesome package in the mail from a CM at DL, as a "Get well/sorry you missed your birthday trip" thing. The kids made and sent her thank you cards, but I really think this girl went above and beyond her job. If I were her boss, I'd want to know, and I think the boss should know how much she helped my kids feel like DL REALLY IS a place where dreams come true... even when you are sick and have to cancel your trip! I mean, WOW!!! NOBODY does stuff like that anymore, and this girl did. It was truely inspiring.

How could I go about getting this known by a superior?
 
Go to the "contact Us" link on the DL.com site and you can put in a guest compliment for her.
 
Just wanted to say Thank You for taking the time to send in your positive comments for this CM, it really does mean alot and goes a long way.
 
My son and daughter wrote their favorite characters letters on our last trip so we stood in line to give tehm to them. We saw Mickey and Minnie and a princess in line but never got to see Chip and Dale or Max so as we left we gave them to Guest Services. They asked us to stop by the next morning for a surprise and the kids got signed pictures from the characters that we had left letters to... Anyway, several weeks later, my DS got a letter from Chip and Dale in the mail!!! I do not know who or how to send a thank you but my DS9 was amazed and so excited. He and Chip and Dale are buddies now! :yay:
So, thank you CM, I mean Chip and Dale!!! You really went above and beyond for us!
 

When my son had his wish trip we had several CMs who went out of their way to make it a special trip so we sent messages on the Disneyland site through the commets email. We received emails back stating that that CM would receive a copy of the praise in their file and it would be noticed. I am not sure how they will make notice of it for the CM, but I think it is very important to praise those who work so hard to make our trip special!!:cheer2:
 
We did this (for WDW) and the cast member (our concierge planner) got the letter put in her file and a special "what would walt do" pin (i think). They def do something to recognize and I think it is super important to recognize people though... especially when there is sooo much bad customer service out there!
 
I sent my letter thru the "contact us" at the bottom of this page... but it went to WDW and not DL.... I sent it anyway. Is this right?
 
Then it didn't get to Disney at all. The "contact us" on this page will go to the Disboards webmasters, who are not affiliated with DL. You need to go to the official Disneyland website.
 
I can tell you your compliments really do make a difference to the CM's. My DD works at Buzz in DL and twice a guest has gone to City Hall to specifically compliment something she did (once it involved a hysterical lost child) and her Lead is notified immediately (that day, that hour) and she is cheered in her dep't and praised. It also goes into her Personnel file permanently. I can tell you both times it happened to her, it made her day, no, her whole week:love: . They really do make a big deal about it at DL and show appreciation to the CM's when it is deserved.
