What has anyone told their 3 and 6 year olds whay Buzz, Woody, Mickey and the don't speak out loud or talk ?? They see them talk on TV and movies all the time !
Any Possible Cute Ideas ???
Thanks a Big Ole' Disney Bunch princess: ::MickeyMo

You can always say that they speak the international language of hugs and kisses. It usually works when talking about Mickey.

and also make sure that they understand that Mickey and friends understand what the kids are saying so they should feel free to talk to the characters. When my kids were little they thought that if the characters could not speak English, they could not understand it either!

Have fun.

I read that one parent told their children that they have to save their voices...if they talked to every single person all day long everyday, they would lose their voice or their throat would hurt.

How bout that they had to turn in their voices to get out of the tv?;)

I heard that WDW gets visitors from all over the world, and so they don't offend anyone by not knowing their language, they just don't talk and make gestures instead.

I like that one.

You know it's funny. My DD, not yet 3, commented on the princesses being able to talk but not the other characters. I approached it like Santa - if she'd asked, I had an answer to explain this to her satisfaction without spoiling the magic but I didn't volunteer anything if she didn't ask. However, she never seemed to question it.

Maybe a simple explanation like "they only talk on TV and in movies" would do it.
