We are suprising our boys 8 & 11, reasoning being, all of our other vacations I have told them about well in advance 3-6 monthes out, and the last time we went to Disney World (1st time there), I asked them if they were excited, because I sure was, they came back with "MOM" well we always now about it for so long!! meaning they werent that excited. sort of like it's to long of a wait. So this time we will be telling them that we are going to a car show for a few days out of town and then tell them the day/night before we fly out. I can't wait to see their faces.

Our very first trip I arranged for a person on a DIsney chat board (yeah, it was THAT long ago, lol), to call my girls on their birthday (twins) acting as Cinderella and ask them if they'd come visit her at DL during the holidays. They were absolutely dumbfounded and almost unable to speak to her....poor friend had to really pull them into the conversation. LOL

Then at the end of the conversation Cinderella told them that her Godmother was going to stop by and leave them something on the front porch....of course they went tearing out there to find a bag of goodies for them (DH had snuck it out there while we were on the phone).

For months they told people that I "had connections" at Disney and got the REAL Cinderella to call them, lol. Oops. But, even know, as teens they still talk about the fact that Cinderella invited them on their first trip to Disney.
