How to tape a show from DISH

That's a pretty broad question, actually. A lot of it depends on what show and what kind of recording you're trying to make. Since you've used the word "tape" I'm assuming you're using a VCR. As such, you can surely connect a VCR to an analog video output (and I can help you identify which ports they are) on your Dish Network receiver (which model # do you have), and then record what's currently tuned in on your Dish Network receiver on your VCR.

For example, this is what one Dish Network receiver looks like:

There are four sets of yellow/white/red RCA ports -- the two on the right, labeled OUTPUT can be connected to similar-looking INPUT ports on your VCR.

Somebody was trying to recruit me for market research because I was the right age and income demographics. I listened to be polite until I was asked about a DVR vs. a TIVO. A what or a what? I knew that I was not the kind of person that they were looking for.
