How to survive the ROFR process?

We will have been waiting 3 weeks on Friday, now how much longer can this process take. Do you think that they take so long so that if you have been refused you will buy from Disney themselves.

You just might be right about that!:thumbsup2

This is the first morning that I can say I have NO pressure on me. :cool1:

We passed ROFR yesterday and we are working today to get the contracts signed, sealed and delivered to our closing company. :woohoo:

I'd like to tell you it gets easier...... but that would be a lie. Good luck and hang in there.

BWV......... here we come ! :yay:

Waiting since Jul 29th and was told that I should hear something by Aug 29th. Can I wait that long???? There are only so many casual emails i can send the broker without coming across as annoying!!!

Congratulations, this is the home resort we have chosen as well. We already own at OKW but just love BWV, so decided to own there allowing us to book at 11 month window. Enjoy your stay.

It's official: original offer accepted by seller on July 29. Disney waives ROFR on August 20!!!

Now- looking forward to dotting the i's and crossing the t's (and emptying the bank account)!!!

Here is what really put me over the edge....

Passed ROFR on 8/2/10. Then it took until 8/9 to receive closing documents. I sent the signed documents and check out via FedEx on 8/10. Then it took until 8/19 to get notice we are officially members. However, we are now making our way through the 10 day wait until Disney has us in the system so we can make reservations.......

I'm 21 days past ROFR and I still can't make a DVC reservation :sad1:

Nobody's done anything wrong here. This is perfectly consistent with the process as it was explained to me going into this......doesn't make it any easier. I know the wait will be worth it!

Here's some magic for passing ROFR:wizard:

I just took a look back on my timeline. I made an offer on AKV on September 12, 2008. It was sent for ROFR on September 19th. I passed on September 30th.

It was a little bit of a wait, but the best decision i've ever made. I love my DVC!

Thanks! It helps to have a time frame in mind when waiting for things to happen.
