I want to use unused travel funds to buy tickets for our family of 5 to LAX. We each have credits from 2 different previous trips, so we have a total of 5 credits with one flight confirmation number and 5 credits with another flight confirmation number. When I try to make a new reservation for our whole family (5) I can only apply 4 credits to that reservation. So, in order to use all our credits (2 per person), do I have to make a reservation for each member of our party or how have you done this? I tried to call Southwest to see how this is done or to know if I can combine everything into one credit, but since we live out of the US I can't call the 1-800 number they have. If you have a local phone number I can use, it can help me too.
Thanks

unfortunately, you are only allowed 4 items on each ticket....and usually, one of those has to be a credit card, thus, 3 credits and a credit card

and the SWA credits are not always one big lump sum.....when you view your travel funds, you might find that a 50 credit is acutally 25, 15 and 10...you would use 3 credits not ONE with this scenario...to get 50 and then of course a credit car

you might have to do some separate reservations in order to use up all of your credits and even have to do ONE ways....we had to do this earlier this year, 4 separate one ways to use up credits on two confirmation numbers ( four price changes which mean 8 actual credits that had to be used )

in addition, credits are now also tied to the individual, thus cannot be used for another person

it is confusing, but can be done

Thank you. I ended up doing 5 different reservations, which was stressful because I was afraid of not getting everyone on the same flight, but did work out fine and paid only $1 each for a one-way LAX-LAS, which we were going to do anyway after DL. :thumbsup2
