My friend and I will be going to USF/IOA next month. We are both newbies to USF, however I have been to WDW many times.Ive done some research for this trip (half the fun of the trip) and I know that there are alot of roller coasters and,I think, some simulator rides at USF/IOA :scared: . I"ve ridden Space Mountain (WDW) and would do it again if I HAD to, I've gone on Rockin Roller Coaster, but wouldn't do it again, same with Body Wars  . Anyway,I dont really want to bring my list of "rides not to go on" with me, and then take it out prior to each ride ( looks alittle lame, probably alittle annoying too :( ). So. what I would like to know is there a discription of the ride posted before you actually enter the ride area, or the line for it.This way I could bow out prior to even entering the ride area  . Thanks, Karen

The big coasters at Islands of Adventure are the Hulk and Dueling Dragons. They're hard to miss. They are huge and out in the open.
The only ride similar to Body Wars is Back to the Future in Unversal Studiosl The other simulator rides are no where near that rough.
The Mummy at US is a coaster also, but is not bad at all.
There are no real ride descriptions posted at the rides themselves. There are good descriptions on the Universal Orlando website.

I agree with avoiding Back to the Future. That is really the only one to avoid at Universal Studios, Mummy is not nearly as chaotic as Rockin Roller coaster. The coasters are all outside at Islands of Adventure.

I used to love Back To The Future but these days just cannot do it anymore, I agree that most of the one's possibly to be avoided are outside at IOA....you may, this is going to sound silly but, one ride that does make me ill as Cat In The Hat at IOA (Suess Landing), my son loves it but the spinning just makes me feel ill.

Thank you all soooo much for the info. Has back to the future been revamped in the last 15 years or so?I call myself a newbie to USF but in actuallity I was there but it was a loooong time ago. IOA was not even in the planning stages then, I think it was when Uni first opened. Anyway, I think I remember ridng Back to the Future, it was like you sat in cars and were on the edge of a cliff (poor description, but all I can remember). I can't remember having a problem with it, am I thinking of the same ride? Has it changed? again, thanks for the help,I'll do some research about the Mummy on the Uni web site, otherwise I guess all else will be all right, I'll avoid the BIG coasters that are outside, I think they would be alittle over the top for me. Im really looking forward to the trip. :teeth: Karen

BTTF hasn't changed, even with lots of people complaining about it.
Riding BTTF in the back row, is like rocks in a tumbler.

Jimmy Neutron at USF is also a simulator, but not as rough. It can still trick the brain into thinking you are going a direction you are not. You can sit in the front row, which is a bench seat that doesn't move.

At Sea World of Florida, they have the Polar Bear tour, which is also a simulator to avoid. For that one, they have a walk thru, where you sit on benches, and watch the same movie. If you don't care about the movie, you can usually run thru the room to the other side, and exit into the exhibit.

After 2 days of being simulated, I couldn't even go on Shrek 4-D, Jimmy Neutron orMen in Black
