How to Set up Waitlists for HHI

We may have to cancel our July HHI trip due to things that have popped up in our schedule. We were only staying three nights. I have since booked a fall trip just in case we have to cancel. We would prefer to go during the summer though. I noticed this morning a studio available for June 10, and I had exactly enough points to book it. Now how to do a waitlist? If I waitlist June 9 and 11, does that count as two waitlists since the dates aren't consecutive? If that can count as one waitlist, I was thinking of also doing June 11 and 12. Or would I be better doing June 9, 11, and 12 (with the intentions of canceling one of the nights) and then waitlist three nights another week?

Can anyone help? I am wanting to get waitlists set up today. I just need to know if my dates aren't consecutive if it will count as two waitlists.

Each waitlist counts as one for your total of 2 per use year. So no matter if the the waitlist days are consecutive if you have it set up as two separate waitlists it counts as two. Though for consecutive days you can set it up as one continuous waitlist.

So I can set up June 9 and 11 as one waitlist? Would I have a greater chance since I already have one night if I set up the second waitlist for June 11 and 12? Or should I waitlist three nights for a completely different week?

June 9 and 11 cannot be on one waitlist, since they are not consecutive dates. If you want to waitlist those dates, it will need to be two separate waitlists. The only way would be to waitlist June 9, 10 and 11. Then you can.

Even if I already have June 10 booked?

Correct. You would need to do June 9 separate from June 11 (or June 11-12). Since you already have June 10, each day on either side of June 10 would be it's own reservation, and as such, it's own wait list.

If they both would come through, then you could have the reservations linked into a single reservation, but they will need to be made separately.

Ok thanks. I think I will just make one waitlist for June 11 and 12 and then a second waitlist for three nights later in the month. I doubt either one will come through, but you never know. I may be cancelling three nights in July. That will be good for someone on the waitlist!
