What are some things that I can bring for my wedding that Disney will charge an arm and a leg for?

The only real way I found to make an on-property wedding affordable was to change it to the Swan. When I started putting my plans together I found that even with an Escape wedding I couldn't get all the things I wanted for what I was willing to spend. Now I get the wedding I WANT for about $3k less than I would get it for through DFTW.

any idea if they would let you have freeze dried rose petals at an outdoor location? They're real flowers, with no chemicals added (according to the site), and should in theory be fine for the surrounding environment...

Yes, they have allowed freeze-dried petals in the past - just fake petals are prohibited. The only thing that might happen is you could run into the "no non-Disney floral at outdoor locations" rule, but they make an exception for personal floral like bouquets, and so far I've never heard of them not allowing you to bring your own petals.

Are fake petals just prohibited in outdoor locations? Can I use them for the WP. How about fake leafs??
