How to request boring, homely pins...

I'd like to pre-purchase some pins for my kids to trade. I'm not sure how many I want to buy just yet, anywhere from 20-50 (2 kids, 5 days, so either allotting them 2, 3, or 5 pins per day to trade).

My son stays emotionally attached to everything. I'm worried that if I get a pin that is even mildly interesting to him he'll have trouble trading it away (ie: I'll get a semi-cute goofy pin that he'll like well enough and he'll have trouble giving away for a Tron Mickey even though he really really likes the Tron Mickey because he is a Tron geek). He is 9. Nine. You should see the Very Important scraps of paper he keeps. I can't even make sure he gets princesses or something, because he'll feel bad trading away a princess pin that his sister might like (to see what I have to contend with, his sister has no emotional attachment to anything, so she'd happily trade away a princess for something else, and he'll get upset because she has to give away something she likes, even though it doesn't bother her.)

ANYWAY, I'd love to get pins that wouldn't be terribly exciting to kids, so I don't have to deal with the trade away angst. I suppose it can't be helped that I'll have to deal with the "OMG what pin should I get? Should I get that one or wait for another one?!" angst. :sad2:

Any thoughts? Can I ask for a mix of dull pins? Any particular seller to go through? I don't really relish the idea of doing it pin by pin, so small lots of crappy pins would be great.

TIA!

This thread made me think, when people buy pins for kids to trade at WDW, what kind of pin lots do they look for? I mean the size of the lot, 10, 20? I have some to sell, I am NOT offering them to anyone here, I will sell on Ebay, so do not PM me about them.

I was just wondering how to group them. They are not valuable, my DD is 19 now and no longer interested in Disney pins.

either one of those numbers is acceptable...
but..you may be better off...doing an uneven number..
unless you have a lot of em..
then..sell em in lots grouped by character..
you will get more for em
