So I'll be doing my first tshirts thanks to all the wonderful Disigners here! I will be using dark transfer paper and I know that I need to trim them up.
SOOOO - if it's not an exact circle or square - how do I go about trimming it? Example - let's say there's the fab five as the main pix and then up on the right a bit, the year and then down below, a name - - when I trip it - I will just have lots of extra "white space" between the main pix and where the date and names are? Or do I ALSO need to trim out the name/date and do those as a separate/tiny iron on?

Does anyone have a pix of your finished product (using dark transfer paper) when it isn't a circle or square you're dealing with??? I need help visualizing how to cut it!

THANKS sooo soooo much!

I haven't done it but I notice that some folks do the main design on the dark transfer paper and then the unattached date or name (as long as there is no white involved) on the light transfer paper and just trim it pretty close. I can't remember where I saw it but, if I come across it I'll post a link.

THANKS!!!

Anyone else have photos you can share? I'm TOTALLY new to this!!

Not totally clear on the image you describe, but I can tell you with a difficult to trim image you could ask the designer to put a colored background on it to match the shirt. That has worked out really well for me. Then you can just trim close to the design, but not have to trim out each letter. Here are some exampes...

WOW that's awsome! See, since I'm so new to this, that didn't even occur to me! And as I can see, even if it's not the exact shade of the shirt you are putting it on, it still looks amazing!!!!! I'll have to find some that I was wondering about and then post them to get a better idea of what to do! But this is great - thanks for sharing the pix!
