A friend of mine at work told me that all of the gift shops and such around WDW (outside the park) sell leftover or the remaining balance of unused park hoppers.

I guess there is an aftermarket of these unused park hoppers.

Has anyone ever done this? Can I trust these tickets?

There have been various discussions on the board regarding this. Personally, I wouldn't risk it. There is no way of telling how many days are actually on a pass until it is scanned at the front gate. One of the major news shows (I forget which one) had a story recently regarding this...and how many people got scammed.

I sure would not risk it. You don't know what you are getting, and it simply isn't worth it.

When you walk past those places, the staff keep asking if you want to buy passes. If you say no, their next question is "Do you have any you want to sell?" Not the best way to make sure you have valid passes.

Plus they code your ID into the magnetic strip!! and at the gates they ask for ID and if it doesn't match, they take the tickets away from you!!!! Now you just lost what you paid for the tickets and have nothing to show for it!!

Thats not the way I want to spend my vacation,at WDW,but not able to enter the parks.........

It better to just buy your tickets from a Disney source!!

Buy the 4 day hopper, they are good indefinately!! so,your next trip you can use the other day!!

WE all went through this, too!! Its better to just face the Fact that WDW is expensive and that $4. or $5. is the best you save off a WDW ticket.

Hoppers can be bought at Disney Stores so if you need to pay for them over a few pay checks that the place to buy them!!

Did you check out disney.com for the bounce back ticket option??
