How do you personalize a disign? I just figured out how to make the words with the pictures inside them and if I can figure that out, I SHOULD be able to handle the personalization, but I'm pretty goofy, so I could use some guidance from some experts.

Thanks.

I have the same question. It's awesome designers let us customize their designs, but I'm assuming we'd need the same program that they used?? :confused3

Really, I have no clue. Guess that's why I'm as far from a designer as you can get. :rotfl:

I'm kind of in the same boat but I think OP is a bit ahead of me. I downloaded Gimp and have been playing with that. I found some videos on youtube and have been reading some tutorials so I have the basic idea of what I'm trying to do but any help is greatly appreciated!

I'm no expert but I will try to give you a place to start:

In paint shop :

Save the design onto your computer then open your software program click on File then click open select the picture you want click open this will display the picture . Select text , then type your text

I hope this helps ..
You can type adding text (name of software) in Google and you will see list of tutorials : also youtube.com

Hi!

Almost all of the designs on this thread are jpg files. You work with them in the same way that you would work with a photo. You would open the design in the same way that you would open any photo. To add text........most photo editing and graphic design software has some kind of an "add text" or "add text box" feature. Just add your text right on top on the blank design.

I hope this helps!

Thank you both so much. If I were to spend a little money on some design software, what EASY software would you suggest that wouldn't break the bank? Thanks.

powerpoint, whilst not a design programme allows you do most stuff, and its already installed on a lot of computers.
hope that helps

My daughter uses Microsoft Paint to do a lot of stuff and thinks its really easy. I use Photoshop Elements 6 and after a short learning curve, it's relatively painless. :surfweb:
