Just curious as to what needs to be done to ensure that your children can take over your dvc timeshare contract once you are unable to use it(ie sick or deceased). My husband and I bought into SSR. I am 40 and he is 46. So, I want to know how it can be passed onto our two sons so that they can continue to use it with their family until the end of the contract(when we get much older).

Thanks

Your DVC ownership may be assigned in a will. If you have other concerns about transferring ownership to family, you might want to consult your attorney and have this added to your estate plan. There are many ways to transfer the ownership via trusts and other estate vehicles.

We made our DVC purchase in the name of a trust where the trustees can change from me and my wife to our kids at a later date, the ownership stays with the trust. This was the best choice for us, according to our attorney.

Thank you so much for asking this question.
My DH and I need to make a will.
Of course my 2 DS's are not wanting us to die, but they do want the points..
