Just got a bunch of crowns, and other accessories for DD's princess costumes. She will be bringing about 5 different ones  . I'm not sure how to pack this stuff to keep it from getting bent up and broken. Any thoughts?

Perhaps you could stuff clothes into them? This would make them "solid" and less likely to bend. You could roll little tee shirts and shorts, then fill the void of the crown with the little rolls (or socks and underwear.) Around the outside of the crowns you could do the same thing. Don't overpack the case, so they don't crush as you squeeze it closed - and hardside luggage will be less likely to bruise them.

I'll be interested in what other people suggest....

Maybe you could try wrapping them in bubble wrap and put them in a ziplock bag (I love ziplocks !), then pack them in between clothes in your suitcase.

A little of topic but a funny story. I had a crown that I took for a group afternoon tea at the GF and I carried it in my totebag I used on the plane. On my way home I forgot it was in there and as I went through the x-ray the scanners were all giggling. Here's a 30yo woman traveling alone carrying a rhinestone tiara. Since it was late at night and I was the only one going through security they gave me a hard time about the crown. LOL

You could probably wrap them in tissue paper and nest them inside one another for stability. I would then wrap them in a couple of shirts.

Oh that is too funny! I hope you enjoyed the tea. :)

We were driving, so I did have the luxury of a little more packing room. I put DD's lovely Aurora gown with the other hanging clothes, then nested her crown between the pair of Mickey ear hats. Wrapped that whole bundle in tissue paper, then tucked it at the bottom of the garment bag and made sure I carried the garment bag out to the car, not dh. I am happy to say the crown made the 1300 mile trip safely both ways.

Maybe you could try putting it in a heavy cardboard or plastic box first?
