Does anyone have any suggestions how to dress for a April trip to Disney? Shorts/capris. Are sandles to cool to wear?

Thanks

Thanks for that!

Sandals are definitley OK in April. We were there last year the third week and I wore shorts and capris everyday. Crocs or sandals on my feet.

When we went to Disney in April of '05 I found it chilly to mild in the mornings (8-9am) so we wore sweatshirts over our tshirts and shorts and sandals or sneakers. The the afternoons were warm to hot. The evenings we pulled the sweashirts back out especially if there was a breeze. your hot skin cools off very fast.

When are you going in April. We will be going in April for the first time too and probably going to pack a little of everything just to be safe.

HIya,
I live here in Mickey land, and like others have said bring a sweatshirt for the mornings..and evenings after the pool. It is beautiful here in April!!
Have fun!!!:thumbsup2

We went last April and a few mornings we needed something light on our arms(sweatshirt) and if you out after dark it cools off(again with the sweatshirt) but we wore shorts and sandels the whole time. None of us ever wore tennis shoes or long pants. During the day it was Hot. We were coming form Indiana so from 40 to 80-85 was pretty warm!

We did not have one day of rain!

We went last April 12-19. We were so unlucky in that it was a cold front that came through the first few days we were there. It was about a high of 75 during the day. We did only get rain for one day, but it was FREEZING because it was already cold out. Nighttime I swear it was like 55 degrees! We were so cold a couple of nights! Then the last two days we were there it was almost 90.

Anyway...I would suggest you pack shorts and shortsleeve shirts, but pack 2 pair of jeans and a couple of sweatshirts too. Just incase. I'm sure glad we did that! Of course check the weather forecast the day before you leave. That'll give you a pretty good idea.

Have an awesome trip!!

We go every year during April vacation. It is usually very warm and we are in bathing suits, shorts and capri's during the entire vacation. We usually make sure to also pack a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt for late evenings (sometimes never even wear the jeans). We too were there last year during the cold front that the previous poster was talking about. Luckily I was smart enough to check Accuweather the day before we left for the trip and was able to add many more pairs of pants and lots of sweatshirts. Accuweather told me that there was a cold front coming in and that the weather would drop to record lows set back in the 1950's. The first day it was 90 and we were melting at the Magic Kindgom. The rest of the days it dropped to the low 30's and 40's in the middle of the night. We watched people walking around in tank tops and shorts freezing for lack of anything else to wear. The gift shops were selling mittens and winter hats. This is not the usual case, but moral of the story check accuweathers 15 day forcast before leaving on your trip. :)

We were there for 3 weeks in April last year and we had temperatures from one extreme to the other. I was absolutely FREEZING some days, we had to go and buy long sweaters to wear and they were selling out everywhere. Then we had beautiful hot days that were beautiful for swimming.

But the whole time we did wear long shorts and tshirts and crocs, but just took a sweater as sometimes it was just so cold. But a majority of the time it was just perfect weather, not too hot, not too cold, and warm enough to swim.
