I've read about maximizing the use of fast pass. How is this done to have more than one at a time? Thanks.:p

ok, when you get a return time on a fast pass, it has like an hour time frame window that you can use it. You wait until 5 minutes after that time frame has started, grab another fastpass for something and then go use your first fass pass. That's the only tip I know for using them.

Always get your next fastpass ASAP, which means before you actually use the one in your hand. For example, if you have a 2pm to 3pm Tower of Terror pass, at 2pm, get your fastpass for Rock n Roller coaster, and then use the fastpass at TOT.

Fastpasses now have the time to get another one printed at the bottom, they can vary according to crowd levels. I got one for Jungle Cruise in May that had a time 5 minutes later that I could get another one (example - got it at 2:10, return time 2:50-3:50, get another one 2:15), it wasn't crowded that day.

The system now prints the time you can get a new FP. It is not necessarily two hours later or after your return window opens. Whenever it says you can get another FP, get it. That way you begin counting down the time to that attraction while riding your first attraction.

Don't assume that if a FP return time is 3 hours away and the standby line only has a 45 minute wait that you are better off in standby. You may get on the ride faster, but you won't get to do more rides. While waiting for your FP return time go on a non-FP ride, eat lunch, shop, or wait in standby for the same ride so you can ride twice almost back-to-back.

Only one person in the party needs to get the FP's for the whole group. Just have that person grab everyone's admission ticket and take them to the FP machines. No need for everyone to run across the park or clog up the FP machines.

Holding two FP's at once takes a little planning and running around the park. But when the crowds are high you can save so much time. DW and I went over Christmas last year and were able to avoid many lines doing this.

Is there a way to know before getting the FP how long the wait will be for another FP? Do they change depending on the dyanmics of the crowds and ride queues throughout the day, or do some rides always (usually?) have the 5 minute wait while others always (normally?) have the 2 hr wait?

As DebbieB mentioned, some FP's allow the user to get another FP 5 minutes later. I noticed this on a couple of attactions in EPCOT during our last visit.

If the FP for one attraction (Ride A) allows another FP in 5 minutes and the FP for a different attraction (Ride B) allows another FP in 2 hours, then you are better off getting the FP for Ride A 1st so that you can get a FP for Ride B 5 minutes later. If you get the FP for Ride B 1st, then you are locked out from additional FP's for 2 hours. Or you could get a FP for another 5-minute wait category ride (Ride C) 5 minutes after getting FP for Ride A, then get a FP for Ride B or ...

I think the 5 minute window is for the less popular attractions like Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, HISTA. I would not expect to get one on Space Mt., Splash Mt., Test Track, Safari. You could ask someone leaving the machine what theirs printed out.

i noticed the time to get a next fastpass only after we were done in the parks.. I was just assuming the 2hour rule...

Given that they are allowing additional fastpasses sooner than the 2hour limit, does the system allow you to hold more than 2 fastpasses at a time?

Yes. Our experience has always been that a person is able to hold more than 2 fastpasses at a time if the timing works out regarding return times and the amount of time since getting your last FP.
