My sister and I will be taking our dad on his 1st WDW adventure this summer. We are staying 6 nights at WL and are on the dinng plan. We have a few must do's for this trip: CG, CP bfast, Le Cellier and possible BD. For those of you who have used the DP, how do you make sure you spend as little op as possible?

I plan in advance where I am going to eat dinner. Always choose high/higher end table service places (most of mine are signature). I leave breakfasts and lunches open to use CS or snack credits for these.

In order to get the best deal, eat at deluxe resort restaurants. You can check out the menus on Deb's site to get an idea what you want to eat and how much it costs. If you are eating over $35 a day, it is worth it to have the plan.

Check out the most popular restaurants on this site, you will see many names repeated.
We have character meals a lot and eat at many different resorts. I personally will suggest our favorites to add to your list of "maybes"

1. LeCellier (I would make 2 ressies just in case you love it like we do)
2. Concourse Steak House (Contemporary) great kids menu and adults too
3. Teppanyaki (Japan/Epcot)
4. Beaches & Cream (Beach Club)
5. Ohana (Poly)
6. 1900 Park Faire (GF)
7. Chef Mickey's
8. Crystal Palace
9. Liberty Tree Tavern
10 The Plaza (MK)
11. Flame Tree BBQ/Tusker House
12. Earl of Sanwich

How about a Fantasmic Pkg...H&V is a good deal, food is above average buffet and Dad would probably love the show.

Also in MGM would he like the Sci-Fi kitsch, goofy fun & the food's good?

Can't go wrong w/Le Cellier, Chef Mickey's... we like Columbia Harbor House for counter serve.

Used to like Cindy's for dinner, not crazy about the new character choices.

Enjoy the magic!

Well, i did read on here somewhere that Surf and Turf at Narcoosees is included. I know it is a signature restaurant, but I've always wanted to try lobster - and this is a lobster and steak combo that usually costs $50 just for the entree!

Also, apparently Coral Reef in Epcot has been changed to a one credit restaurant - i've heard v good things about that place to.

Teppanyaki would be good value, California Grill and Chef Mickeys.

Another vote here for Le Cellier - it is outstanding especially if you like steak. The cheese soup is lovely.

As for counter service - i am not sure - i've not eaten in lots and when i do, i always forget the names! But i will definitely be using my ones in AK at the place with the pulled pork sandwiches - and i've forgotten the name again! The seating is outdoors inside two huts on stilts.
