How to make this AKV room request?

We will be booking our first ever AKV (Kidani) stay in ten days! Yeah! What is the best way I can request the "pool side" of the building?

Just that - pool side. Now if you are looking to be close to the pool you should request that. Pool side at Kidani would mean outside of the building to me and wouldn't definitely mean close to the pool.

I'm not sure what you mean by "pool side of the building". Do you mean you want to be in the same wing as the pool? If so, that would be the north wing. Or do you mean you want to be on the outside of the building?

What category of room did you book, Savanna View or Standard View? If we knew that as well then we could help you come up with how to word your request.

We booked a 1 bd standard view. I did mean the pool "wing," and not the outside. (Thanks, LisaS for the term "north wing.") I would imagine there would be very few standard views in the north wing?

Our first request will be top floor - because we prefer to not have little (or big!) feet banging around above us. After that, I'd love to minimize our exposure to the parking lot/bus noise, etc. And have a shorter walk to/from the pool. But I know that's asking a lot. But it never hurts to ask, right?

So I'm guessing my best bet is top floor, north wing? We don't care if we're far from the elevator. But the further you get in the north wing you end up back in savannah view rooms, right?

I guess I can always hope for an upgrade to savannah view! A Christmas miracle or something?

There are plenty of standard views on the north wing; the north and south wings have close to the same number of standards (one looks at a map and assumes the south wing has more but only the first four building units running from the lobby on the south wing have standard rooms, the remaining building units have rooms only on the savanna side of the building). Requests are not guaranteed but ones that relate to pool view are "pool view" or "near Rafiki elevator." A request for "north wing" does not necessarily mean pool view or even close to it. Most standards on the north wing are pool view but there are a small number at the end of the north wing that have partial savanna view and they are not close to the pool
