I was wondering if anyone has come up with and Idea on how to make the Beds at Pop more comfortable can you please share?

I have some ideas like bringing my 2" foam mattress with me (i'll use the extra large Space Bag to stuck out the air and make it flat for traveling, or maybe get an airmatrress topper and bring my fitted sheets to put over these items, or made askking for an extra comforter and fold up and place on mattress and place a fitted sheet over that and lay one top of that on bed.... I don't knwo anyone have any ideas?

I have no ideas to share. I thought the beds at POP are already comfortable. The children and I slept there comfortably. I didn't think it was too firm or too flimsy that you can feel the springs or anything. Enjoy POP!!

Just a thought...I can understand how you can use your space bag to flatten the mattress when you get there, but how are you going to cart it back?

For my money the best way to make the beds at Pop more comfortable is to stay at ASMU.

Much softer mattresses than those bricks at Pop.

Call houskeeping and ask for a new mattress.....one time, we were at one of the All Stars and my bed was suffering from major saggage. I called to complain, saying I couldnt sleep in it and they brought me a brand new mattress. We were hysterical (laughing). The thing was about 8-12 inches taller than the bed next to it. Boy, was I happy though.

I wonder if it makes a difference in the area of the resort that you are staying. We have stayed in the 90's (in December) and the 50's (in May) and the beds were great, but this last trip (just one month later in June) we stayed in the preferred area, the 60's, and I could feel the individual springs easily through the top of the mattress. It really didn't bother my sleep because we were so tired that I think that I could have had a good night sleep on a chain link fence and been happy, but that was a pretty bad mattress.

Well, we thought the mattress on the king bed in room 5051 was a bit brutal and we were opening day guests on 12/14/03, so it wasn't a bad mattress from overuse. To be honest, that mattress is part of the reason that we decided to stay at CSR this year. Good luck. Maggie

Try the Mai Tai's at the pool bar at Pop. Best night's sleep in my life was after DH and I had a few of those. Seriously, I didn't think the beds were bad at all. I think the foam pad thing sounds good. I guess if you just stuff it in there and start rolling it up the air will come out. I usually use my vacum attachment to get the air out of bags that big. Good luck!

We stayed in the 50's just last week. I thought my bed was pretty comfortable! Of course, I was so tired after long days at the park, I probably could have slept on the floor. Anyway, no springs sticking up and they weren't too hard or soft. I thought they were fine. If you can't bring the foam, maybe you could ask for some extra blankets to to sleep on. Have a wonderful time!!

I couldn't tell if they were good or bad, I was so stinking tired !!!!!!!!!!! I can sleep on rocks though :rotfl2:

:flower3: Well since I am driving down and have the room I am using Air Mattress on Top of regular Mattress and usa California King Size Fitted Sheet to Keep it down on the Bed. I found Double size air mattress at Target this weekend for $14 and an electric small air pump for $9. WE bought two Doubles since that is what were getting in Pop Century. If I lay the velvety side down that will help with mattress movement. I read so many bad things about Pop's Beds that I got scared into this idea. I can't enjoy my vacation if I can't sleep. Just thought I'd share what I decided to do.

I'm with AmyandDan, Mai Tai's or Absolute Lemonades in my case, 10 hours on the feet with two children, and sleep just finds itself. :rotfl2:

we loved the beds at pop century! no need to do anything to make them more comfortable... just exhaust yourself by day, and a picket fence would seem comfortable by night ;)

I did not have any problems with the mattress in our 70's room, but I was glad I brought my own pillow. The ones they have are really fat, and my neck was killing me after one night, so off to the car to get mine.

I agree with most of the other posts. You'll be so tired it won't matter. I just got back from POP and found the beds to be okay. I am generally up 2 or 3 times a night at home and I slept right through every night while at POP. My back was a little sore because the bed was harder that I like but I find that at most hotels anyway. Those that have had really hard beds have had an unfortunate experience but a hotel bed is a hotel bed is a hotel bed they are never going to be what we are used to at home. Go enjoy, tire yourself out and you'll sleep great!

The only way I can think of is to switch your ressies to the Swan or Dolphin.

I too thought the beds were like bricks at POP. The sheets were really itchy as well. I think they use too much bleach.
