How to make special room request

We booked our trip through AAA, and are staying at the Poly 2/7-12. How do we request a particular room? Actually we don't have one certain room that we have our hearts set on. We just want to make sure to be on the ground floor. Is is best to call the Polynesian directly, or should I call our AAA agent? Or are we safe to wait until we arrive to make our request?

Your best bet is always to make your requests when you book your reservation. Because you booked with a TA, the agency "owns" the reservation and all requests need to go through them.
Contact your agent and let him/her know that you'd like a ground floor and even request a specific building.

You will have to go through your travel agent. But he/she can make the request now. If your request is just for a first floor room, you shouldn't have any problems with that. However, you should make that request now and not when you get there. Your room will already be assigned when you check in.

Jsut ask at the front desk.

Something like being on the 1st floor is easy to do, a specific room # would be much harder.

Last time we went I read on one of the boards to fax the resort you will be staying at between 1-2 weeks ahead of time with your request. We had booked directly through Disney. I faxed POP requesting a room over looking the bowling pin pool. We had a room over looking the pool upon arrival. I wouldn't wait until you get there the rooms are probably already assigned
