How to make Reservations with AddOns

We are thinking of adding on to our SSR contract. We are still debating on whether to go resale and pick a different resort or go with SSR and Disney.

What we can't figure out is how it works when you have more than one contract how do they apply the points?

We have 175 at SSR, if we do a 50 point add on at SSR, no problem.. all the points can be used at SSR at the 11 month mark.

But if we purchase an add on at another resort through resale, how can we use the points?

So if we have 175 at SSR, 50 at XXX, total 225 points. Can we use all the points to make ressies with SSR using all 225 points at the 11 month mark? Or do we only have access to the 175 points at SSR at the 11 month mark?

How do you use your add-ons?

Do you bank and/or borrow every other year so that you have enough to stay at the lower point resort?

My questions seem a little confusing to me!! AGH!!

You would only have access to the 175 SSR points at 11 months for a SSR reservation. You could borrow from your next use year for SSR to complete the reservation (or used banked SSR points).
