So maybe we could afford to go to DLP in November. I hope so. No, i really think I have to make it happen. Because I miss it so much, that I'm going to become nuts otherwise.

But there is another problem:

In the last 6 years my boyfriend and I went about 5 times to DLP. I think the first, second and third time he was quite thrilled to go there and he loved it. But after the 5th time I think he liked it but got a little bit disney-tired. He didn't say so, but trust me I could read the signs... He wants to explore other places in Europe. And I think its about the money, but remember i'm going to make it happen!!!! I want to go there. REALLY! AND: with him. We always have such an excellent time there together. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc We are a Disney-team. No way to go there without him. So because we're going to have a non-disney vacation at the end of August and went to New York in spring. It's now time to plan and do disney again (after almost 1 1/2 years of absence).

So I thought about how to get him really happy about going there. Maybe some "extras" like a breakfast or a tea party with the Disney Characters or some boy-things like the Buffallo Bill show. Is it really worth the money? We always wanted to see it, but I 've read some bad reviews. :confused3

Any other ideas? Any other boy-things I could think about? I would be so glad to get a good advice. :)

Oh. and we already were in Paris several times. To do sightseeing there is not an option. :sad2:

Thanks :)

Happy hour at King Ludwigs is good. :drinking1

Or a bar crawl of all the hotels bars. :thumbsup2

Buffalo Bills is great. The only bad comments are about food, I think the food is great it fits the theme really well and I love the corn bread and chilli.

I'm not sure a tea party or breakfast would that fun, depends if he like characters or not.

so hes not like me then.........id be thrilled just by being told im going. :cloud9:

:teeth: Just a thought.. How about going to florida on your next holiday? You can get your disney fix and its somewhere new for your boyfriend! If you go at the right time and get the right deal, it can cost only £500 each including flights, hotels, tickets! Good luck!

Hi there!
So your last trip was 1 1/2 years ago? That means you didn`t go on Mission 2 or Buzz yet and you haven`t seen Lion King so there are new attractions to see for him.
I think I would not recommend character breakfast or something like this because I think there are mainly families with children, don`t know if your BF would enjoy it :confused3 ?
Buffalo Bill and Bar Hopping at the hotels sound like a very good thing to do especially since the park will be closing early. You could also go to a pool (depending on your hotel) or maybe ice-skating (don`t know if it`s open in November though).
And afterall he will have a GF with a big smile on her face the whole time so that should be a good reason also. :thumbsup2
I`ll cross my fingers for you that it`ll work out!

Thanks for all the comments and the support! :) :)

@ chrismoo and @ isma
Bar hopping or the King Ludwig Castle sounds like a great idea, 'cause he likes to chill with a few beer or cocktails in the evening. :thumbsup2

We would go to the cheyenne then. Does somebody know if we could go to a pool in another hotel or is it only for the guests there?

@ tazz23
I would love to go there. ::yes:: But I think it is way too expensive. So you are from Britain? Do you have special offers or prices there? Because I'm from Germany and I wouldn't know where to search for a special rate. But if you have a tip for me, maybe we could go next year. :confused3

@ stonfiesta
You've got it! That's the absolutely right attitude. ;)

Unfortunately I`m afraid that you can only use the pools when you`re guest at the hotel, but I might be wrong there.

Concerning Orlando: you could at least try to get a flight with Condor, they have offers for quite at lot dates for only 99€, don`t know how early you would have to book it. And I would also be interested in special offers for WDW! :thumbsup2

Just want you all keep up-to-date:
We talked about a Disney-vacation last evening! It happened nearly like this:

Me: Hey sweetie, I would like to go to disneyland again, soooo badly!

DBF: Hmmm!

((BTW: "Hmmm" means here something between grunting and undefinable or unconcerned comment))

Me: Pleeeaaase.

DBF: Yeah, I told you. We will go. I want to go next year or maybe 2008.

Me: :sad2: hmmmm!
Me  : This year?

DBF: hmmmmm!

Me :worried: : But ... but we can do that Buzz-thing. That's new!

DBF (not very interested in that kind of conversation): hmmm!

Me (searching for arguments): And we can go to King Ludwig Castles happy hour and sip some beer.
((BTW: I really hate beer, he likes it)

DBF (Still not interested) :surfweb: : hmm!

Me (trying to remember what you guys wrote): ehm. Do a cocktail-bar-tour?

((oh yeah, something was going on now, I saw it in his eyes: there was a kind of reflection of several yummy "mai tais" ... or were it "Zombies"?))

DBF (much more interested) :listen: : hmmm???

Me (with a little bit of hope): Yep! Cocktails sounds great, doesn't it? And ... (I saved the best argument up for that moment) we can stay at the Cheyenne!

(( he always wanted to check that one out))

DBF (thrilled): Oh the Cheyenne. so .. mm..we could do that!

Me (thinking: oh boy I got him!!!!) :woohoo:

Next morning directly after we woke up:
DBF ((his second sentence of the day)): And we are going to stay at the Cheyenne?

Me  :teeth:

That already sounds like a pre-tripie, doesn't it!?

So, you all know what that means: I could start planning!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :cheer2:

Thanks for your attention and the help!!!!

Hi sjaakie. thanx! That's nice! :)

But i don't know if I have expressed that clearly. He agreed and we're planning to go to DLRP in winter, maybe november, but definitely this year!!

Congratulations! Good news! :thumbsup2 :sunny: :cool1: :goodvibes
I knew the idea of sipping some cocktails would work ;)
Now you can have fun planning! And let us participate! And maybe have a meeting at DLP in November!

I understoud clearly but men are like children. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
Know what I mean ?? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

If you're going at any time from the second week in November, you'll get all the Christmassy stuff!!! If you've never been at this time before it's wonderful with all the extra shows etc. - would this persuade him? :confused3

@ sarahc
Thanx for your advice. :) He's already persuaded. :woohoo:
@ sjaakie
o.k. now i know what you've meant :lmao:

He sounded quite a push over really - too good to let slip away.

How about a Disney Wedding - now that would be a great trip report to read! :cool1:

Have a great time planning your trip. Look forward to seeing you on the "whens everyone going to DLPR" thread! :Pinkbounc

@ higgy
Thanks! :)
:rotfl: Yes! He's highly qualified to be my boyfriend. ;) I'm planning to keep him. :rotfl:

I don't mind doing a disney wedding sometime. But i think our families would have an objection against that. No one is into the disney-thing except us. :sad2:

But I'm going to be in Disneyland in november - that's all that matters! :cool1:
