How to make a split stay easier and more convenient

Hello, I did a split stay last time I was in WDW - 3 resorts. No regrets, went pretty smoothly and allowed me to stay at the Grand Floridian for two nights, which I could never afford for an entire week. There were two very minor inconveniences I ran into:

1. I was not able to check-in online for resorts 2 and 3 because I was still technically "checked in" with my previous resorts. So I had to visit the lobby before going to my room. This is fine in GF since most of the resort is pretty condensed, but was a little more annoying with Coronado Springs since our building wasn't all that close to the lobby. If we don't check-in online from our first resort and then check-out at the lobby before we leave, would that allow us to check-in online and be able to use our magic bands to go straight to our room? Alternatively, I am also considering putting the first reservation in my traveling partner's name. We aren't getting park tickets for that part of the stay.

2. Again, since the walk to and from the lobby can sometimes be the same, getting our luggage from the luggage valet was somewhat annoying as well. Anyone ever call them and request they deliver it to our room or is going there to get it yourself a must?

as to 2: I always call bell services (luggage assistance at values) and they bring up the luggage. Totally worth the cost (tip) at the big resorts like POR, CBR, CSR. You do have to be in the room for them to bring it (unlike magical express luggage delivery).

TY! I think maybe we just decided to take our own luggage last time because we were there anyway checking in. Did you run into any issues with your second resort and checking in? Or did you not mind checking in at the lobby?

Interesting perspective - I know about the online check-in and simply heading to your room when you get your text, but I guess I am old school - I prefer checking in in the lobby. I find that even when I haven't gotten the text, which supposedly means my room is not ready, if I check in at the desk they can give me a room, so I find front desk check-in is faster.

Always do online check in for every stay
We've never had a check in/check out problem when changing resorts
At 11:00 we've automatically been checked out of resort 1 (or 2) and ready to go at the next resort

We always call for our bags. We never get them ourselves

Nope, we've never checked out of a resort at Disney. Just walked away.
And we always check in online well before we arrive. As soon as we hit 60 days when it had a limit and as soon as we book now that there's no limit
