My MIL will be coming for a 3 week visit in May. This is her first visit ever to Disney and I want to make it special for her but there is not a whole lot of spending money. Here are my plans so far.

Lunch at the Castle...breakfast was not an option.
Getting her the Guest of Honor badge
Taking pictures of her and all the Characters and getting their autographs. After she leaves I am going to do a scrapbook for her.

Any one have any other ideas to make this visit special for her? Will be be going to Disney 8 days or more.

Thanks

I'd also have her picture taken at MK in front of the big flower bed Mickey. I have a picture of all our trips in front, and I just love them!

Also, you could do the monorail tour of the resorts -- Grand Floridian, Poly and Contemporary. Take the ferry from Contemp. to Wilderness Lodge. (See if you can ride up front in the monorail!)

Other ideas: Stroll the Boardwalk, explore DD, get her Mickey Ears (aren't they still around $6-7?), ride the Friendships at Epcot, people watch!

I think you'll all have a great time.

I agree with Wickey's Friend; You could make sure at some point in time she rides in the front of the monorail and gets the little card that says she helped pilot it. Of course, most people suggest this for younger guests, but I'm 22 and have done it a couple of times. Everyone loves the monorail!

... see if you can get her over to Epcot for some of the special things related to that. Epcot really looks beautiful with the special extra landscaping, and that is the time of year when seniors seem to most like visiting.

Campfire and movie under the stars at Fort Wilderness is fun. It may be better for kids and I don't know if you have any kids in the party but our kids thought it was very memorable.
Also, the little various boat rides- from resort to Downtown Disney or whatever.
