How to kill centipedes that just keep reappearing?

I think we have a nest somewhere in a foundational crack.

In our half bathroom (ground level), we find all sorts of sizes- jumbo to teensy weensy. I've tried spraying bug spray along the interior and exterior walls and have tried the "straw method" to get way in and under what we can reach. I've used the foaming stuff, too, that hasn't seemed to do anything, becuase these suckers just keep reappearing. Professionals have been in, too.

We have our cat's food and litter box in there, should we move it? We do move everything for a good long while when we spray, but I really am at my wits end!

Help.. please?

Eww! Centipedes freak me out!!

No idea on help though. Try moving the cat food and things. See if that helps.

Ugh. That's what's so gross. We have. And they just end up back in that bathroom. That's why we think that's where the problem is.

Anyone know if it's dangerous for the cats/dog to play with them? Cats like to bat them around a little bit if it's the middle of the night or we don't find them before they do.

So gross. Ugh.

Oh, I understand now. Bumping! Hopefully someone who knows more than I do can help you out!

OMG, we have them too and for me it's like living a nightmare.

I had posted a thread about this a long time ago and got some information about clearing growth away from the foundation of your house and spraying, etc. I'll have to see if I can find that. I had tried surfing the net for info, but I couldn't stand all the pictures on the web pages!

For us they also tend to hang out in a single area of the house. For a while, it was the basement steps. What worked there was Hot Shot (or Raid) Spider Killer. I sprayed all over the steps and never saw one there again. Now, I can't verify the safety of doing that, but we're not dead yet! Did the same thing in our 1/2 bath when they decided to hang out in there. Sprayed that Spider Killer all over the place.

I believe as a general rule they like moisture. Good luck and you have my sympathies!

I find holding down the fire button and staying to one side of the screen works the best. ;)

Try another exterminator.

Sorry, I don't know what to tell you except maybe you need a different exterminator company.

We have exterminators that come every 3 months. They get rid of everything!! He was just here two days ago & I am happily BUG FREE!!

Sorry you have to go thru that...I am a total BUG freak & can't stand any in the house! :scared1:

We had a terrible problem with them a few years ago. We hired Terminix. They said the buggers like moisture and we needed new vents under our house, age had ours not working right. After a year of Terminix doing their quarterly spraying, I loved the results. Renewed our contract this year. No creepy crawlers of any kind at all last year :thumbsup2
