How to judge crowds?

I'm surprised to read so many threads about crowds this time of year! We will be there for only two days next year - Thurs Oct 2 + Fri Oct 3. We could make it just a day or two earlier if that would make a difference in crowd levels. Is there a crowd calendar (Like they have for WDW), or some other indicator to let us know what might affect attendence on given days?

No crowd calendars for DLR like the UOG website has for WDW. You kind of have to use the park hours as a guide.

1. DL open 8AM-11PM or 12AM - Busy

2. DL open 9AM-9PM or 10PM - Moderate

3. DL open 10AM-8PM or 9PM - Light

Also, since DLR attracts more locals on day trips so weekends and holiday weekends tend to be busier than weekdays - much more so than at WDW.
