How-To Help, Please - Name Fill

I really want to master name fills! I've been reading all over this board for hours and hours over several days and I've tried various techniques using Elements 13 and Word 2016 for Mac. I'm not getting good results. I know there are some "how-to's" on the board but those I've found are a bit dated and programs change.

I've read recommendations to condense the name so letters are close together and more of the picture shows. I don't see this option in working with text in Elements - am I missing it?

I've tried several fonts - anyone have a favorite? Do you find that outlining the letters makes a difference? Is there anything else you can recommend?

Thank you in advance - I'm hoping to have some special things done for my grandchildrens' upcoming birthdays.

When I first started, I used this tutorial

I use Photoshop elements (started with 8 and am using 13 now) so it works with elements.

The font is really just your choice. I love Thwack for large letters but dafont is a great resource. I always outline my letters b/c it stands out more and is easier to cut out.

The only other suggestion that I have is to keep trying. I really struggled with layers when I first started but it does make sense, the more you try.

You would need to have atleast 13 or more posts to be able to private message someone.
Mandy is NOT available at this time to take requests.
Maybe try posting a new thread asking if anyone is taking requests for what you are looking for.
When you make the request remember to include your trip date so the DISigner knows how much time they have to complete the request.
