How to go about requesting certain room/building?

Hello,
I've never requested certain rooms or buildings before....How do I go about it?

I was told by a CSR that you need to call 7 days out from your check in.
YOu can ask it when you book..I did and AAA requested it for me.

But follow through w/ a phone call to the resort.

Just call reservations and they'll put your requests in

Call and make sure it is noted on your ressie.

I always just have it listed with our reservation with CRO. It's always shown up later when I have checked, and usually noted by the front desk CM upon check-in.

One downside to requesting a certain room or building is that if that room is not available or no 'free' rooms in the building meet your other requests, you might not get anything you want.
The room assigner will only know you wanted room XXXX or building XX, but will have to guess what about that building or room you liked.

Sue, that last response sounds very logical. I think I'll just leave it as the luck of the draw and hope for the best...I'm just happy to be staying at the Poly!

Given some of the bad room locations at Poly I would make a general request - for example
1. Balcony (not all rooms have balconies)
2. Tokelau
3. Figi

That's how I make a Poly request and it works out well! Of course some guests do not make any request and it works out great!
