A few years ago I gave all my employees a gift card to Logan's Steakhouse. I bought little "peanut" buckets at the Target dollar spot, filled them with peanuts and tucked the gift card inside. I used cellophone to wrap them up, tied them with homemade pom-pom's and added a homemade card. It was a HIT!

You can do all kinds of things with Gift Cards. Buy takeout containers, fill with Chinese noodles, a fortune cookie and gift card to a Chinese restaurant. If you want to do a Starbucks GC, fill a coffee mug with coffee beans and stick in the GC.
I have stuff still wrapped up , just didn't want to eat the stuff in there so I put it aside and they just sit in the cabinet. This year I am getting plant like Christmas trees that are decorated and attatching the gift card to it. The card will say "Thank you for helping me grow!"
This is for a 4th grade teacher...what do you think??
I like that idea! I got a plant at the end of the school year. The parent made flower shaped pockets out of heavy construction paper and taped popsicle sticks to them, and stuck them in the plant. In each flower pocket (there were five of them) was a $10 gift card to different places (target, home depot, wawa, panera, and starbucks). She attached a card that said "thanks for helping me grow"... It was a really really nice gift!!
What amount GCs do you give the teachers? Just curious
