I have friends that are going to WDW in May. They would like to do a character breakfast at Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club Resort.

Party info: beginners, two small children (5 & 3), grand ma and grand pa, and of course the two parents.

They are staying at the *** Resort. EPCOT FW opens at 9am and of course WS opens at 11am. No EMH on the day they are going. Is it possible to take a bus to EPCOT and be able to walk to the international gateway to exit the park to get to the Beach Club Resort?

OR Should they take the bus to MK and then transfer to the Beach Club Resort for breakfast?

Thanks!!

The name of the resort your friends are staying at is not showing up, so I can't give the best route. However, you can in fact walk through international gateway even before World Showcase is open.

Maybe All Star Sports ;)

Going to MK would be the worst idea.

You can take the bus to the front of Epcot and walk back the IG and then to the BC but you will have to use a ticket to get in. If you don't have a park hopper you can then only go to Epcot that day.

One other way is to bus to DHS and walk to the BC. You don't have to use an admission and it may be around the same amount of walking.

Or take a taxi. maybe $15.

I'm assuming that it's the All Star Sports resort, which, if shortened without adding "ports" (ASSports) becomes something completely different ;)

The best route would actually likely be DHS bus then walk to BC or take the boat from DHS to BC/YC docks. Bussing to Epcot would take roughly the same distance as walking from DHS, and would require a park admission to get through (not an issue with hoppers, could be an issue without them though).

Here is a "Robo map" with all the transportation portions in the Epcot Resort Area marked up.

Having a bit of a hard time helping and not helping..Trying to plan a WDW vacation in less than two months.

The leaving out the "ports" is a hidden reference right now!

I am not sure on all the walking for this group!! That is why I suggest the bus from their resort to MK to Beach Club. Front door service instead of all the walking. Plus I am not sure they are able to find the way!!:rotfl2:

THANK YOU ALL for the quick responses!!

Not a fan of ***. ;)

Yes, they can do that. But I'm wondering if it wouldn't be easier to take the bus to DHS and then the boat to Epcot. Less walking, but maybe more time involved.

Little kids + grandparents + first time visitors?

Don't ask them to walk from either direction. Distances at Disney can be overwhelming, particularly the hike through Epcot. Send them on the bus to DHS and then the boat from there to BC. They don't have to use a park ticket to go from the bus to the boat. Heck, if it's a nice day the boat almost counts as another ride for the kids!

That is why I was thinking about putting them on a bus twice.. I am not sure the boy will get on the boat!! Glad I am not on this trip..

Take a cab its about $10 and a lot less hassle.:goodvibes

My advice would be to budget for a cab. That is a lot of extra walking for little kids that you need to save for the day. We depend on cabs often for our dinning plans.
