We will be going to WDW this November. I promised my son this trip we would head to SW. We are not renting a car. I have been trying to find what our options are in order to get to SW. So far I have come up with Mears, taxi or Lynx. We have 4 people.
My questions - Mears - cost, I read it's $13 round trip per person, is this right? Taxi - again cost? Lynx - simplicity of it? My kids are 5 and 7 so I really would like it to be an easy use thing-make sense?
We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Any thoughts or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

The main problem that you will have with Lynx is the multiple transfers that you would have to take. The bus that you would have to take picks-up at the Ticket and transportation center and then there is one other transfer before you get to seaworld. I believe that a taxi cost is somewhere are $25.00. I think that is the price that I've seen posted on another thread.

...being from a rural mid-west town I do not have experience with bus transfers. When we visited Chicago(to see the Mickey statutes) we took the train to downtown....on the way back we rode to the end of the line, which is where we wanted to be but it was the wrong line ....interesting with a 5 and 7 year old..not to mention my 38 year old husband

Thanks again

Cherio - I am also from a rural mid-west town and have only used public transportation while on vacation and I have to tell you that the Lynx bus was one of the easiest things I did while at Disney!

I was alone with my dd's (7 & 8) went to the TTC and walked right up to the Lynx bus we needed (#50) told the driver where we were going to make sure we were on the right bus and I even let him know that I was a bit nervous and he reassured me that he would get us to Seaworld and he did.

First, he gave my dd's the student rate which was like .50 so it was only about $6.00 for all of us round trip and there were no transfers. Unless things have changed since last October there is no transfer from TTC to Seaworld.

Anyway, good luck and you really should give it a try, it was the best deal of our entire trip!!

Youre right Disneyfan! Its extremely easy to go by bus. We wouldnt pay to go any other way. The buses are regular...you can check the times on the Lynx website. When we go to Seaworld we use the opportunity to travel up International drive and go to Beltz shopping outlet.

Thanks Disneyfan and eblondie. I had read another post about taking Lnyx but wasn't just too sure. I am going to take the leap and go with it. If nothing else, we will have another story about riding the bus around Orlando

Thanks again....Cheri
